Hawaii Scooters is and independent concession and rental does not provide admission to Waimea Valley, which is and additional charge per person. Hi'ipaka, LLC the non profit entity that owns and manages Waimea Valley will not be held liable for any loss, damage, or injury while operating a mobility scooter while at Waimea Valley.

Hi'ipaka LLC is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization created to nurture and care for Waimea Valley and holds the title to the land. The Valley was purchased by a partnership between the Office of Hawaiian Affairs, the City and County of Honolulu, the Hawaii State Department of Land Natural Resources, Trust for Public Land and the United States Army.
Waimea Valley is deeply rooted in Hawaiian history and continues to be a respite for Hawaiian spirituality and traditions. As stewards and employees of Hi'ipaka LLC, we will strive in our daily responsibilities to Waimea and its host culture, to celebrate and share a vibrant and living Hawaiian culture with the world. We welcome you to the living pu'uhonua (place of refuge) of Waimea Valley. Let us honor and perpetuate Hawaii’s past, steward our present and plan for a prosperous and healthy future.

CHECK-IN
Payment must be made in full at time of reservation. Refunds available until 48 hours before the reservation date. Must be 18 yrs of age or older to rent a scooter.
SCOOTER OPERATION
Scooters must be operated according to the rules agreed to. One person per scooter, no one under 18 years of age may board or operate a scooter, scooters must yield to pedestrians, shuttles and golf carts on the path, unsafe operation or violation of the rules will result in confiscation of the scooter without refund.
Q: Where exactly are you located?
Waimea Valley Scooters is located at the ticketing office. Upon entering the Waimea Valley, you will see a ticketing counter at the entrance of the trailhead.. Any Waimea valley employee will be happy to direct you if needed.
Q: Can a minor reserve or rent a scooter?
Unfortunately, for liability issues, we only rent scooters to customers 18 years of age or older. A valid ID proving birthdate is required at scooter pick up.
Q: What happens if I don’t return the scooter?
If the scooter is not returned, it will be considered stolen. Your card will be charged the replacement price of a new scooter, and criminal charges will be filed. Please don’t steal the scooters.
Q: What is my liability?
As the operator, you will sign a waiver form stating that you are responsible for the scooter and its operation while in your care. For details, please see the Terms of Agreement.
Q: I reserved a scooter without insurance, but changed my mind. How do I add insurance to my reserved scooter?
You can always add insurance when you pick up your scooter at the Customer Service desk.
Q: What time is pick-up and drop-off?
You can pick up your scooters when Waimea Valley opens its doors at morning and all scooters must be returned by 5:30 pm when it closes.
Q: What happens if I break the scooter?
A: If the scooter breaks due to inappropriate driving and/or breaking both the Waimea Valley and our rules, the replacement price for the scooter will be charged to your credit card.
Q: What does insurance cover?
Insurance covers up to $200 in damages to the scooter. Things such as dents, scratches, food/beverage spills, excessive soils, etc. Without insurance, your card will be charged the cost of cleaning, repair, or replacement. See Terms for more information.
Q: What if I didn't get an emailed receipt?
Please call us at (808) 462-0185 between 10:00am - 5:00pm Hawaii Standard Time. There might have been a problem with payment. It might be due to an expiration date, card code, or address error. If you did not get an emailed receipt, your card was not charged.
Q: How can I get a refund?
Refunds are available up to 48 hours before the reservation date. For refunds, please email hello@waimeavalleyscooters.com or call +1(808)462-0185 between 10:00am – 4:00pm Hawaii Standard Time.
TERMS AND PRIVACY POLICY
TERMS OF RENTAL AGREEMENT
The Waimea Valley Scooters is a separate entity from the Waimea Valley. The Customer agrees to operate the electric mobility chair scooter at his/her own risk. Customer declares that he/she is physically, mentally, and emotionally capable to operate the scooter. Customer must be at least 18 years of age with a valid ID. The customer will be fully responsible and liable for any damages, claims, and costs including legal and medical expenses arising out of Customer’s use of equipment. The customer shall defend, indemnify, and hold harmless both us and the Waimea Valley (including its officers, directors, employees, representatives, and agents) from any and all actual or alleged claims, demands, causes of action, liability, suits, loss, expense (including legal and medical expense), damage and/ or injury (to property or persons, including without limitation wrongful death), whether brought by an individual or other entity, or imposed by a court of law or by administrative action of any federal, state, or local governmental body or agency, arising out of or incident to any acts, omissions, negligence, or willful misconduct of the Customer in connection with or arising out of Customers use of equipment. This indemnification applies to and includes, without limitation, the payment of all penalties, fines, judgments, awards, decrees, attorneys’ fees, and related costs or expenses, and any reimbursements to us and/or Waimea Valley for all legal expenses and costs incurred by it. This agreement shall be governed by the laws of the State of Hawaii.
Waimea Valley Scooters owns the equipment. The customer will NOT give or transfer possession of the equipment to any other party. The renter agrees to be the sole operator of the equipment. The equipment MUST BE RETURNED to where it was received, no later than 5:30 P.M that same day. The equipment may NOT be taken out of the Waimea Valley. The Waimea Valley Scooters reserves the right to repossess equipment at any time without your prior consent.

PRIVACY POLICY
Waimevalleyscooters.com has the following Privacy Policy with respect to information gathered on Web pages hosted by Waimevalleyscooters.com. The terms "we" and "us" refer to Waimevalleyscooters.com.

PRICE
All-Day Pass (return by 5:30 pm): $19.99/HR. (plus tax), Optional Insurance: $6.00 (plus tax) - Covers up to $200 in damages*,*Insurance becomes void if us and/or Waimea Valley rules are broken. Damages exceeding $200 (Up to the replacement cost of scooter) will be charged to the card on file, unless customer is free from any fault.

OUR COMMITMENT TO DATA SECURITY
To prevent unauthorized access, maintain data accuracy, and ensure the appropriate use of information, we have put in place appropriate physical, electronic, and managerial procedures reasonably designed to safeguard and secure the information we collect online. We use SSL (Secure Socket Layer) encryption to secure personal identification. In addition, personnel who have access to our database are trained to maintain and secure all information.

CUSTOMER DEPOSIT STATEMENT
“I have been informed that my charge card has been billed for the entire amount of the rental fee. I consent to the reservation or setting aside of that amount. I have also been informed that all fees to fix any damages incurred and/or fees to clean equipment due to excessive soil or food/beverage spills will be billed to my charge card, unless I purchased the insurance above and operated the equipment within proper guidelines, in which case will cover up to $200 in scooter damages and/or cleaning fees. I understand that this insurance is void if us and/or Waimea Valley rules are broken. I understand that if I do not return the equipment, my card will be charged the purchase price of its replacement and criminal charges will be filed. By using this website to reserve my scooter, I certify that I have read this agreement and fully understand it and that I am not relying on any statements or representations made by us and/or Waimea Valley.”
PAYMENT MUST BE MADE AT TIME OF BOOKING OR YOUR RESERVATION WILL BE CANCELLED. BY BOOKING THIS RESERVATION, YOU AGREE TO THE TERMS OF THIS RENTAL AGREEMENT.
